Hey #guitar people! I bought this potentiometer: https://www.thomann.de/intl/allparts_ep_0345_000_250k_push_pull_pot.htm And now there is this lug I don't know what to do with. Bend it over? Break it off? Without any treatment, it won't sit straight when screwed to the plate holding its predecessor now.

@raichoo Looks fine to me. How much grading do you have to do, are the skin tones OK (the only thing that really matters) without it?The only thing I'd want to point out is that there is a one sided lens distortion, that guitar* looks seriously warped, man!* I know it's a bass, I just wanted to pull your leg twice in the same comment

@bruno Über die übliche Antwort auf rhetorische Fragen dieser Art, das Gehalt, haben wir ja noch gar nicht gesprochen - da können dann nur ethische Fragen eine Rolle spielen.Da müsste dann das Versprechen, mit einem Blasrohr auf wehrlose menschliche Ziele zu schießen, die individuellen Bedenken aufwiegen. Wenn ich mir überlege, welches Klientel das anzöge, weiß ich auf einmal sehr gut, warum ich das nicht outsource.Das war viel Text für eine Quatschantwort, fällt mir auf 🤔

If Windows were just another Linux distribution, I'm pretty sure the world of computer users would look at it and say "nah, the GUI just won't go out of the way many times too often, way too many interactions required for simple tasks, and the performance... oh boy, it's just not mature enough"
