@GluedToTheScreen Interesting…I recall @adam discussing the opposite effect years ago, i.e. — seeing/reading a report on something within your sphere of expertise that you can clearly see is complete bs, which triggers an awakening that perhaps it’s ALL bs. I’m pretty sure he cited a name for that phenomena, but don’t remember what it was.

@Sophistifunk I miss the days when you could just pick up a flashlight, push a button (or slider), and it’s on. Push it again, and it’s off. Even the lowly flashlight is bent on ensuring that technology does not in fact make my life any easier.
