At 13 she would read the fine print of each piece. “Property of Apple” or “Property of Chrome”. It made no difference to her. Only at 23 did she notice that she couldn’t find a single part of her reflection that belonged to her. “Lab rat,” she muttered to the mirror.

       @cattailnu Michael had been walking for exactly 3 days, 9 hours, and 27 minutes. Counting the time seemed to be the only thing that kept him walking. He could feel the leaves pressing up against his ankles, flowers blooming against his calves. He had to be getting closer. His bones wanted to collapse, every cell in his body begging to sleep, but if he allowed himself to rest the vines would surround him until he was just another part of the forest. 3 days, 9 hours, and 28 minutes.
