You’re right to say capitalism doesn’t /produce/ something, it incentives profit margins. And profit margins will always be largest in goods and services that are cheapest to produce. Couple that with large initial capital requirements and competitors who can afford to temporarily take a loss and your entire argument just. Doesn’t exist.

       @futurebird 100%, it’s not about whether ai CAN provide care (it can’t, care is by definition humanistic) but whether the c-suite can turn a profit off pretending it can (which they are) and everyone suffers. Everyone deserves care, the best care possible, and what you’re seeing is the product of healthcare oriented not towards providing that care but generating a profit.  Any potential llm use case would be better off eliminating insurance companies to reduce bloat. Love your thread
