Anyone got a good UK supplier of laptop batteries?Has to be the UK, because of Brexit.Needs to be good quality.We can find loads, but knowing who is supplying something that actually corresponds the the capacity that matches the label.Bad experiences with fakes/quality in the past.Thanks.(Boosts welcome for reach)

A post too long to toot.Actually, split it into two pieces, and need to finish the next bit at a later date. So this is just initial section. :autism: ---Autism over the years, why does it get harder and not easier?We have been musing and ruminating on why some aspects of our life have got harder over the years. After all, it is not like the pre/post autism diagnosis us are different beings pivoting on that external validation. We haven’t suddenly gone, “Oh, we are autistic, we should now find X difficult”. Still some cold stuff around.Though the media is going hyperbolic about fresh snow and issuing weather warnings. It will not amount to anything that warrants that 🤣 Was pretty warm even though the weather is turning, so much so it was just a vest top for the ascent 😀

@fitheach Third party batteries in certain formats have got waaay better. Still plenty of cheap garbage about though.These are just the ones in the drawer right now....Bonus for the fact that they are all *roughly* the same shape. Often with embossed names that are hard to read in poor light.Standardised batteries would be amazing. Our intelligent charger can charge from AAA to 26650, one gadget any lithium rechargeable.But sadly, that would be a pipe dream.Charge ports/circuits on batteries is the only real way of combatting vendor lock in by battery shape.Until the do challenge/response to stop 3rd party batteries like coffee machines and their ilk 🤷♀️

@fitheach Those are the chargers for the cameras we *haven't* moved on 🤣 USB C is probably the *best* type of connection as a compromise.You are totally right though, only if forced by legislation will manufacturers conform to any useful standard 🤦♀️
