Ok I'm using @apps and I created a filter to removed Wordle and I don't know if it is working or not. Do filters clean up your existing timeline or just work from the point in time of the when the filter is created and moving forward? #helpneeded because #FediTips article on it wasn't very detailed.

For #FollowFriday I'm also going to promote @kimberlylemming who hasn't fully made the transition from #Twitter: Kimberly Lemming @KimberlyLemmingHer books are amazing fantasy romance with lots of diversity and amazing amounts of fun. Would highly recommend to anyone especially if you like the feel of #StudioGhibli type animes with a sprinkle of #LOTR lore. Really hope she brings more interaction to #Mastodon

I find it sad that instead of people moving over to Mastodon, I'm seeing more and more bots for cross posting from Twitter. I have a love hate of it...Love seeing content I have been missing.Hate that it is coming from a bot account instead of the user just using Mastodon.Like I get it, for a lot of people it is too much to deal with when you have Facebook, Instagram, TicTok, etc. already established and trying to balance. I expect people to focus on those if they choose to leave Twitter

There are so many fucking sports bots on Mastodon that it is just overflowing my feed. Like I'm not even sure how to setup a filter to mute all of them properly. So frustrating :blobcatnotlike:

Ok so I might have actually figured out how to block the sports bots, I went to one of the bot profiles to mute it and down at the bottom was a "block domain" <-- totally didn't see that option before and so far it seems to work were my various filters did not. đź’Ż Would recommend!

True story: I checked my Twitter account and it's been awhile but I missed some of the content there and thought I would get some fresh stuff. Silly me, right? It was nothing but ads. Ads and random promoted profiles. So I thought, I'll just visit certain people, ya know, go direct to their profile and guess what, yup more advertising between every few of their tweets and then huge breaks every 5 tweets or so with a horizontal block of promoted profiles. It was all garbage So yeah, done with it
