       Alas, Arch runs better on my system. My laptop is a very recent model and Debian doesn't even boot on it.I do use Ubuntu in the cloud though - considering switching to pure Debian there because I have no need for snaps.

       Those Dell thin clients are going cheaper than Pi's on eBay. I got one fully refurb'ed for $45. It's a pretty nice little machine.

       I haven't yet, no.It might work though. 6.1 kernel was what I used on Arch when I first installed. Still had to install linux-firmware-git to get everything functional though. I'm sure I can do the same on Debian. I had to download the firmware from kernel.org on another machine running Ubuntu recently.It's the only disadvantage to running bleeding edge hardware.

       Ah, I didn't really pay attention. This was one of the Wyze units. I'll have to take a picture. I just slapped Fedora on it at the time tbh.

       As long as your photo collection doesn't have ~100k photos, NextCloud is great. I broke it though.

       I also came away from that talk deeply disturbed. Bowing down to the same standards that all the other forms of media do will just remove my reason for being here. You can be against the most vile content without believing in central authority being used to censor it. Block lists exist for a reason.

       I agree with you. You can have safety or freedom, but not both. People left Twitter because they found out the rules they wanted ended up being used against themselves, then they came to ActivityPub and did the same thing again.People need to learn to live with disagreement. https://i.imgur.com/PtmGwP6.jpg
