@kzimmermann I typically use a workspace for each key application I use regularly and simultaneously in i3, so one for Firefox, another for KeePassXC. About 9 in total. Certain apps will automatically launch in their own workspaces.

My #Proxmox install is complete, just resized the root partition following #NetworkChuck's trusty video guide. Any recommendations for #distros? I typically keep #Ubuntu, #Tails and #Kali to hand, but I'm open to new ideas.

@werwolf I love the idea of XMPP, but just can't imagine people I actually message regularly using it. Similar to @session In many ways it seems the ideal messaging solution in terms of true anonymity (if needed/desired) but it's hard enough convincing some people to even pay attention to Signal.

@nerdtronics does your workflow involve connecting a monitor, keyboard etc for that terminal use? I imagine it would be cumbersome otherwise. Would like to get hold of a Pinephone one day.

Search sites are such a key tool in our learning that one of my main tips is always to avoid #Google wherever possible and choose #privacy-respecting alternatives. We're in the final stages of the Online Safety Bill and, honestly, I'm not optimistic. This is just the next attempt, and probably the successful one, at breaking end-to-end #encryption in the #UK. I admire the stances of @signalapp and the like, but the ones who are going to be most negatively affected by this are those who aren't as technically proficient. And that's the problem. Truly #privacy-preserving technologies should be accessible to everyone. #tech #surveillance
