       @gav @vitalis Something similar happens to me often when I try and sleep, the scale and shape of things in my minds eye get continually distorted. Not scary though, just annoying.

Atlantis was a huge step down though, totally lost the whole earth archeology and linguistics subplots, which don't seem like much but really leave a hole when they're gone.I've watched a bit of Babylon 5, it's really good and a lot like trek. The format of gradually learning more about the main characters and world as you go keeps it from being too episodic.

       @Iffine @LoliHat @Ronnie21093 Yeah Daniel Jackson and a bit of Vala Mal Doran feuding was the only thing that kept up the last two seasons of SG-1. The linguistics wasn't very meaningful but it made it feel a lot more grounded and enabled a few episode plots to happen.If I were a trekkie would I make the same arguments about how klingon was necessary? ugh...

I don't think there's any story, it's basically cubeworld. To play you just download it and create a character and world and hit play. For multiplayer, you also make an account on their website since the devs host the biggest and most stable server.

It's got skill trees for different weapon types, and a lot of resource gathering mechanics for crafting new weapons and armor from resources in different biomes and mobs and dungeons and fun mining in caves that can take hours, and trading with npcs in villages and awesome worldgen. (As of a year ago when I last played. It's updating very quickly.)
