I see ancient wisdom (Stoicism, Taoism, etc) as the base layer of a particular protocol. We won't name the protocol, but it's something like "happiness and a good life". I see modern religions (past couple thousand years) as alts/products/technologies. centralized alternative "improvements" that are incompatible with the original base layer. they don't add new properly-thin protocol layers to the base, they offer monolithic alternative stacks. The reason I prefer Bitcoin and Lightning to Ethereum is the same reason I prefer stoicism and mindfulness to Christianity.

i was on an interent and nostr haiatus for about a month and had a lovely "nothing's happening that matters to my life" feeling. i peek back at nostr today and feel like things are on fire. so tell me, is my timing just good - or is it the case that globally-networked communitations (even nostr) naturally skews towards sky is falling content at all times?i think i'm going to go back under my rock and write a book and some software. you guys seem to be holding down the fort. 🫡

where would you "deport" him to? his home country?i agree with you that **strategically**, resisting arrest is a poor choice and i wouldn't recommend it. it WILL get you shot and everyone knows this (whether that is reasonable or legal is a different story). but the fact of the arrest itself, and the wider context that preceeded this event... that's where i place the "blame", broadly.

i don't have time at the moment to scroll and search any further than this: but primal does admit that the client connects to their caching server, not relays directly. there is no way to bypass this setting. their caching server employs "spam" and other filtering, ordering and scoring. none of that is controversial, you can see it in the code, and the devs will agree this is true. they'll just tell you they don't do anything bad. trust me bro.
