       Hi fellow tooters! Any recommendations for tools to auto-delete my toots after 7 days, as I do with TweetDelete on Tw*tter? I’ve also stopped mirroring my tweets and RTs to this account — is that what people here generally prefer? (I’m still sending toots to Tw*tter for now :)

       Amazing how people have become so accustomed to the ease-of-use resulting from #BigTech making all your decisions for you, and spaffing $billions from the proceeds of #surveillancecapitalism on apps, that choosing a @joinmastodon@twitter.com server is apparently an insurmountable hurdle 😉

       I’m all for convenience — it’s one reason, alongside their (conflicted) attitude to #privacy, I’m now such an Apple fanboy, after decades of fun playing with free/open source software. Let’s hope #BigTech start creating #Fediverse clients trading convenience for monetisation 🤑
