Alright, going to re-log and auto-post #film titles that were once banned on Letterboxd. Things may get a bit steamy and non-pc over here…

what in fuck's name is wrong with Letterboxd that they keep on removing completely valid films!?! The Beatles' Strawberry Fields Forever is a promotional film, made ling before music videos existed (it's back up for now, but for how long…). Jonas Mekas' Salvador Dalí at Work? C'mon now!! Still missing and I'm not going to be bothered adding it again. But hey, some stupid Super Bowl™️ Halftime Show™️, that's aaaa-okey.

It would be great if <spoiler>this tag, which was one of the great options on the IMDb forums (RIP),</spoiler> would work in the Fediverse.

Is any of you familiar with #Tumblr alternative #2mblr? https://2mblr.com/I looked into #Pixelfed but it seems too much aimed at photographers and people who want to “Instagram” their lunch/pets/children.Or maybe someone can recommend something? I want to publicly archive some of my #film related writing, such as https://c.im/tags/Bales2023FilmChallenge. Nothing related to Google/Alphabet, Mega/FB/IG etc etc please. #blogging

@grammargirl Native Dutch speaker here. There's no such thing as "Belgium" as a language. One of the official languages is Dutch, plus many many local variations and words that are typical for Flanders in general. Any idea where the speaker was from? Antwerp perhaps?

@grammargirl Sorry too if I came across a bit berating. Without knowing where the family came from it's almost impossible to know what the expression may have been, though that "iseh" may be "'t is” ("het is" = "it is”. The i is pronounced like the ee in "feel"), and "tuffin" may be "toffe", a "good one" as in "he's a great guy"). I'd almost think it's West-Vlaams, the variation spoken in West-Flanders.There's a great online NL-Dutch vs BE-Dutch dictionary, maybe someone from Belgium knows more https://www.wablief.eu/

@grammargirl Possibly the second part is "d'as ne toffe" "that's a good one. Maybe the third part is a pun, something that rhymes and derails the whole thing.
