@augustus 7 years ago before immigration in US i'd have a very interesting topic with the one pretty old colleague of mine from State Optical Institute. He shared with me the story ( which was a some sort of confidential matter 30 years ago) that telescope Hubble was assembled improperly (one of lenses was flipped)... so his main idea, translated into corporate language was like:No one country at that time had a developed quality assurance system. Just because of that floating around the globe at low-level orbits was an enormous risk. Any mission farer was impossible...I've just googled viki. The official version is "the lens was 1.3 millimeters shifted"... Meanwhile, I would love to mention an unofficial talk...

@cirno Great picture, and the situation is much more complicated. Imagine a particle, size of "red blood cell", which can contain bunch of viruses and other biological garbage. Imagine how quickly this particle will evaporated all the H20... after that imagine a thin layer of glue which is sticks all "viruses" together...Now you can clearly see, than masks increase humidity in the area near the mouth and nose... and some of particles, which could be caught by nose may have a chance to survive... So, we need dry air, and we should breath through the nose.

@jeffcliff Unfortunately Space X it's just a single example of what make a difference between military mass-production and personified effort of a single team. In 1970 such a great company was Concord and line of Japanese companies... Now we are staying in exactly the same point that we were 50 years ago.

@Mitsu my grandma was a very fast walker. She passed at 99. Happiness is a very short period of time, when brain tries to memorize the path to just achieved success. So, let's keep walking fast. It helps to think, and sometimes gives the opportunity to meet a real person, walking in the same direction...

@overflow this election wasn't for Biden. It was against Trump. As in 2016 it was election against H. Clinton. There is no national leaders in US, and Trump just personifies expectations, which are actually never could have a good match with who he really is.

@matrix we realize, that "superior American argument" it's just another one sign of cultural isolationism? So, our "enemies" are mostly reflect us: Iran, Afganistan... 40 years ago it was Vietnam. Just because on the top of their pyramid they do have the same "superior argument"...
