       Yea, unfortunately, you will make a lot of mistakes in the beginning. I still do, and learn something new everyday. And that's not true about no fat left. Depends on whether you used a superfat. Which is to say that you used more fat than needed for complete saponification. I typically use 5%. But not aware of recipe you used. Did you use soapcalc to derive recipe?

       I gotcha. I was going to say that since you're trying to make a liquid soap, maybe try Olive, Avocado, or Castor oil instead. But since it's what you have readily available, I understand. Tallow isn't a harsh cleanser. Coconut oil is though. Very harsh imo. Too drying for humans, but laundry or dish soap, it might be good. Not sure, because like Tallow, it's a hard oil.
