We are home and y’all, Odin was an absolute angel the whole day. He was calm on the train, he was calm on crowded streets, he was calm in a cramped restaurant. He was gracious about so much attention from strangers and didn’t go overboard and frighten anyone. I let a friend who is smaller than me (and hence smaller than Odin) walk him and he didn’t overpower her or ignore her signals. It’s also the furthest he’s walked in one day and he took it like a champ.It was less than a year ago that he was afraid to go more than 50 yards from the house, it was only six months ago that he was mortally terrified of the train’s hydraulic doors. He is fearless and calm and I’m so proud of him that I’m crying 🥹

if you have no idea what this is about: a very official-looking "IPv8" draft appeared that was an absolute fever dream of and-a-pony wishlist features for a censorious regime, down to using json web tokens at the hardware level for some reason

@foone I’m guessing this is to prevent it being broken mid-word at the end of the line when embedded in Asian scripts, which is a common issue when posting Latin writing on Chinese websites

wasm builds of games are so cursed. the exact same build that worked yesterday will crash today saying all the files are missing (they haven't gone anywhere) and then you restart the browser and it works again. except now the issue where the text renders at seconds per frame rather than frames per second is back, and you don't know why it cleared up in the first place
