Yes. RAM has already nearly tripled in price over (literally) the last 30 days due to enterprise demand for AI. All the manufacturing is switching over to that, leaving far less availability for consumer demand. That was before Micron exited the consumer market. Now, it's going to get exponentially worse. We'll see if the other manufacturers stay in the market for us but expect a considerable price hike again, and then plateau for a long time, if not get worse. This is ass.

@sickburnbro @matty See my recent comments on this, Micron in terms of dies shipped is a bit :cirnoHeh: player. Only started making it big recently in revenue by being better than Samsung in HBM memory that's stacked on top of CPU/GPU dies.Being the only one of the top three with their own consumer channel, it's not clear what's happening, but this alone is not doom for the consumer who wants plain DRAM which is also in very high demand for complete "AI" systems.
