       #ThisWeekAtMyTable my dnd game was cancelled again, so Wife, Kid, and I finished up the #IronswornStarforged adventure we started last week.We ended up having to rescue our smuggler contacts from the fortified bunker of a gang who had turned on them.My Weapon Master / Ace got into a firefight with a patrol on speeder bikes, and ended up hanging from his fingertips over a crevasse of boiling acid before managing to turn the tables and rescue the smuggler captain.#ttrpg #Ironsworn

       While my "combat character" was getting his face beat in, my wife's Inflitrator and my son's Gearhead/Techie easily broke into the secure complex, defeated the security bots, hacked the terminal, and rescued the prisoner (though one was shot by a guard).Then they repaired the smugglers' ship while I moved the medical supplies we had originally come there to get.We finally got back to our planet of origin, and only had to smuggle the med supplies into an active war zone...

       Everything went FINE until they left me to guard the (stolen, military) truck full of our illicit goods while they made contact with the rebel cell.The cops rolled up on my Weapon Master, who was obviously bristling with armaments... at the same time my dice turned to Pure Evil.I missed a roll to threaten them and ward them off.  Then managed to lose control of the ensuing fight and things snowballed and got progressively worse.

       It ended up with me running over civilians in a crowded market (botching a car chase), blowing up a hover-copter, taking a sniper bullet, and finally being tracked down by ultra-commandos and burned with energy rifles until nothing was left but my boots, and my black iron blade.So, that's how my character died in his first adventure!
