       Holy smokes. $1.8 *billion* cut from NIH research, from terminating 694 grants, at the end of April. This is before the upcoming cuts they want in the budget for next year, or the money not yet spent this year!  (Or, why the $500 million that Europe is pulling together just makes me cry.)
