       @evan I worry that military intervention would be disastrous, likely escalating into a region-wide conflict that would drag in major Powers trying to wage a proxy war.  While they might be able to get what they are trying to get with a very tight focus on very limited goals, I also feel like it's very unlikely they will stick to those goals once they have boots on the West Bank: going after Israel itself would be too tempting.  If they went after Israel itself, the resulting War would have massive casualties for both sides, including a huge number of Israeli and Palestinian civilians. I really hope they can find a diplomatic solution to this thing, but unfortunately, as someone in the US, I really don't feel like I have any say in this anymore: the political party I felt I could influence on this no longer has any control over the situation, leaving it effectively at the will of Donald Trump, who can only be predicted to do what his whims believe will benefit him personally at that moment.
