Can we have a search engine that's not a corpo data broker SEO failure (❌ Google, ❌ Bing), doesn't use a corpo index (❌ DDG, ❌ Meta search engines), isn't a fascist, crypto, techbro thing (❌ Brave), isn't slow (❌ Meta search engines), and isn't connected to Russia (❌ Yandex) ???(I now realize that Qwant (maybe) more or less fits these requirements. Is it good?)

@marta qwant is backed by the bad springer.Qwant tries to ban people from using adblock.Qwant once had the same ai generated content as bing in their results. So I'm not sure if they really only use an own index.

@marta @joshix I use https://presearch.com/ , thoughts? I don't remember why or how I switched or found it, but it wasn't google.

@salyer @marta i'm currently using @Mojeek it fits all the bullet points, but the results are often so bad that I switch to startpage/qwant/duckduckgo
