Why hasn’t someone manufactured a home #printer that isn’t terrible? Serious question! Everyone acknowledges all the leading machines are crappy front-ends for ink-selling scams, surely there’s a demand for something that… isn’t that?

@bogosort The Verge, The Wirecutter, me, and everyone I respect uses the Brother HL-L2350DW.“…will print return labels for online shopping, never run out of toner, and generally be a printer instead of the physical instantiation of a business model.”https://www.theverge.com/23642073/best-printer-2023-brother-laser-wi-fi-its-fine

@Vorsos @bogosort I personally have an old HL-2070N that I bought in 2007...it's still on the starter toner and only recently started throwing low toner warnings(it still prints fine)(also I used to work in a K-12 environment, and saw an HL-2070N survive being thrown at a brick wall by an angry high school kid. that's why I bought one myself.)
