       I've been seeing a lot of good artists posted from "misskey.io" lately. Explain to me what is happening, why this messenger is so popular and how to get there?

       @oldie1515 misskey is another Mastodon instance. If you got to the explore tab and put in @misskey.io in the search bar, you will get a list of users. Unfortunately, the admins of misskey made it so we Baraag users cannot follow or dm their users, we can only see their public posts.

       @son_of_the_paladin @oldie1515 Basically. It's also not as restricted when it comes to joining and interacting with other instances. Baraag is blacklisted by a majority of Mastodon instances. And Baraag is invite only atm, which restricts user growth. Misskey is not, iirc

       @oldie1515 another big factor is that misskey is a different software to mastadon- many users just like it better, mastodon is quite plain by comparison

       @oldie1515 It is a site geared towards Japanese people. (Posting of uncensored art is not allowed there.)You can't follow them from baraag, but I think you can follow them from pawoo.

       @lasto_ @oldie1515 Little late, but here I am. You request to follow users from misskey, but they have to approve manually. Most of them don’t.
