If you find your self with too much squash, this is the best way I know of to preserve it. Batter it, lay in single layers in wax paper, then freeze it. Once fully frozen put them in a freezer bag and store in the freezer. When ready to eat, fry them in oil or butter

@mrman Most squash is edible as far as I know Gourds are similar but are decorative, except for the loofah which is where the bath product comes from.

@5jQZjRozrPJ6EK Looks like thats a nope on canning it. Make it in small batches. Like 8oz at a time. It doesn't hold up long in the fridge. I usually make it for potato salad or macaroni salad. Something that I will use the whole batch at once.
