@SesameSquirrel @bunnyhero I can't figure out if the strategy is "price this so high that nosy academics and journalists can't study twitter, but I can still get money from corporations that need API access to run their business" ...... which would fit with his longstanding animus against journalists and scholars ...... or whether there is no chess being played here of 5, 4, 3, 2, or even 1 dimension ...... and he's just so ravenous for money that he's pricing it too high for *everyone*

@clive @bunnyhero Why can't it be both?There's a tiny cynical corner of my brain wondering if Mr. ApartheidEmeralds is TRYING to drive :birdsite: into bankruptcy, so he can bail on the $1bil+ per year in interest payments on his LBOHe and 45 are like evil psychic twins, except one is ACTUALLY rich, while the other is like Crazy Eddie (remember him?)
