       current #research:26 January 1944: in mid-month, dozens of #Jewish soldiers in the #Polish Armoured Division, fed up with endemic #antisemitism, went to London, demanding transfer to the British forces. Polish Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Marian Kukiel  reports the incident to British Lt. Gen. Grasset. He notes that the #Zionist & #Bundist representatives on the Polish National Council condemned the action, as did the representative of the World Jewish Congress (also a Zionist). #WWII 1/n
