@jmc464 Sounds promising.“… to investigate abuses of power committed by ministers of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the Superior Electoral Court (TSE)”.Please excuse my forgetfulness but what’s the difference between the STF and the TSE and on which of these Courts does the bald one (aka Egghead or Alexandre de Moraes) with the malicious grin sit?The names suggest that the STF is higher in the hierarchy?

@johnglavine The STF (Supremo Tribunal Federal) is the Brazilian Supreme Court. The TSE (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral) is the federal electoral court. Moraes sits on both, and is the President of the TSE.

@johnglavine Both of these bodies have executive authority of various sorts that US courts do not directly have. I'm not completely certain how they function specifically, but Moraes, in this transitional period, has a decent amount of authority.

@jmc464 Thanks! To jog my memory - Bolsonaro has gone before the TSE which seems appropriate in the first instance.Time for me to check on the composition of the STF and the TSE.

@jmc464 Just going off Wikipedia, the decisions of the TSE are not appealable except those contrary to the Constitution or that deny habeas corpus or writs of mandamus.Writs of mandamus is an interesting one.Ongoing comments as I read.

@jmc464 The composition of the STF causes me concern.Of the 11, there are 3 Lula appointments. There are 4 Rousseff appointments and Rousseff served as a minister under Lula and his chief of staff.Rousseff was impeached and removed from office.Add to that de Moraes (appointed by Temer) and we already have 8 of questionable persuasion.

@jmc464 Three of those 8 of questionable persuasion from the STF sit on the TSE.De Moraes, Lewandowski and Fachin. The TSE has 7 judges.I will try to dig into the other 4.Here’s a point - On any appeal from the TSE to the STF, I would expect De Moraes, Lewandowski and Fachin to be excluded from the STF bench.Improper to participate in an appeal from one’s own decision. That still leaves 5 of questionable persuasion from a STF bench that could compromise up to 8 judges.

@jmc464 About now I’m beginning to understand (suspect?) the true motivations for this which you tooted.https://freeatlantis.com/@jmc464/109390288303119416It would seem that the planets didn’t align so well for Bolsonaro as they did for Trump in regards to judicial appointments.Let me continue into my dig on the 4 remaining judges on the TSE.Bearing in mind that 2 of these 4 were appointed by the President from a pool of 6 nominated by the STF.

@johnglavine It is worrisome. I knew that there were some Lula and Rouseff appointments, but not the actual number. I imagine that regardless of the outcome, this is a required step in the overall process and had to be done.

@johnglavine Things are converging. And recall that it was mass protests that ultimately led to Rouseff's impeachment. Well, they're already underway. And I doubt the people will be impressed by any adverse judicial ruling.

@jmc464 Absolutely agree. And unlike the US military, the Brazilian military has a constitutional role to fulfill lawfully. It is just good optics to proceed this way to exhaust all other constitutional processes first and show it all (the depth of the corruption) to the people.Irrespective the globalists will frame it as a military coup if that’s how things transpire.

@johnglavine And there's time. I expect direct military action is last on the list. With the legislature now acting, the protests continuing, enough judges might be convinced to cut their losses and bail out on Lula and his crew.

@sambadave66 @jmc464 And now I’m stuck. The STJ has two judges (ministers) on the TSE but the STJ’s website is down. The STJ appears to have 33 judges and the 2 that sit on the TSE are Mauro Campbell and Benedito Goncalves (who serves as the Inspector).

@johnglavine @jmc464 The odds are fraud will be discovered and the military will quietly wisper into a few ears. I hope Moraes at the STF will go to jail (or Cuba). The odds are in our favor, but just barely. Lula and the deep state has compromised the big industrialists. Remember Engebrecht was tits deep in Lava Jato. Good news, Sao Paulo and Rio went for Bolsonaro. The Northeast went Lula and those states have always been corrupt.

@johnglavine @jmc464 From by brother the lawyer "Absolutely true! They stolen the elections. I told you the armed forces were invited. They made this huge mistake. In the suit they’ve just touched one point. There is more. Thousands machines with votes just for Lula. The data travelled out of Brazil and came back in a second."
