       @andrewjbtw It’s very funny thinking about how badly the digital preservation community wanted to make JPEG2000 a thing. More enthusiastic about it than anyone else.

       @misty @andrewjbtw I'm right there with you. I gritted my teeth when I worked with JPEG2000s at the Library of Congress and managers were burning it into various preservation standards without understanding the impacts it was having.

       @misty @andrewjbtw I think it’s possible that the ONLY people I ever heard promote JPEG2000 were preservation folks. :)
