Man I gotta tell ya. #Manjaro is really testing my patience. I used to have issues where the hibernate didn't work, like ever.Now, hibernate works so well that Firefox needs closed and reopened every time I wake up the computer. Otherwise, the mouse icons don't change properly with what I'm hovering on.Oh, and I used to be able to use external optical drives. Well, they broke that to "fix" hibernate I guess. The drives show up on my disks app, but if you put a disc in, it's pops up for a second, then unmounts all connected drives. But don't worry. The drives are still mounted. Just no longer accessible in GUI.Please someone recommend a STABLE distro I can use gnome on.I've tried elementary, Debian, and manjaro. Briefly used Ubuntu and fedora.

@ducky wife has manjaro desktop mini (installed from the factory) it is absolutely a plague. mandrake (predecessor to manjaro) was my first distro, I don't remember liking it either. I always use external drives to minimize wear on the internal drive, and to ease moving to other systems. It is nearly impossible not to download bloatware on every update.

@ducky Artix just werx once you install it. It takes time to install and you might not do it well on the first try, though. For a true “just werx” distro you can use fedora if you’re new to troonix (you will grow to hate fedora if you take the redpill) or garuda which is what manjaro tries to be but actually werx. Just do not use manjaro, it is dogshit.
