After the argument, I hear him just whistling away in the room. He doesn't have a clue about a darn thing. I'm not even expecting anything from him anymore. He's a weed smoker and I'm an alcoholic... these 2 addictions do not mix well.Talking to him is like talking to a wall or something. He must've been pissed that I called him out on his stupid bullshit 🙄 I have to not drink today. I have to stay the course and save up as much money as I can.

I tried to stay sober yesterday but I failed 😥 Oh well today is a new day. I must be sober today. The drinking after-effects are catching up with me. Some days I wake up sick or very nauseous. Some days I can get up and work with no issues (like today)

Addiction is just horrendous. It doesn't just affect you. It affects everyone and everything.. If I had a genie to grant me one wish it would be to not be a fucking addict. I almost ran into attendance issues at my current job. Luckily they have given me another opportunity. I have to work and I need this in order to survive.

@Hollahollara I'll admit that I am struggling right now. My bf is so emotionally stunted/unavailable it's not even funny 😒🙄 He attempted to try to grab my arm as we were arguing. I said don't ever fucking grab my arm or touch me ever again. All because I wanted a simple fucking explanation 😒

They know exactly what your consumption limits are.Alcohol use when in a domestic abuse relationship can be a symptom of dealing with your trauma.I've been through it, so I'm not preaching at you. @Hollahollara Well he seems inept as all hell, even though he works in IT. He wanted me to hold him accountable for certain things and he can't even accept the accountability and acts like a fucking toddler when I questioned his motives and everything. He's still working with the door closed. Oh wait he opened it while he's in a meeting. He's still not talking to me though (which is great actually).He smokes way too much (weed and cigs). I don't smoke weed any more. Sometimes I do smoke cigarettes.He also spends money like its just falling from the fucking sky. I don't get it.

@ArtistBristol Used by cults too, anything to keep you confused and incapable. Controlling your diet and making you physically weak are also used. He may be justifying how he treats her to others by citing her drinking. A lot of abusive men destroy the woman's reputation and support network, make it impossible for her to get help with these tactics.

@chilady2022 I'm not trying to be malicious and scare you but f you are actually an alcoholic, it's not safe to try and quit cold turkey. I've seen people have/ develop seizures from trying to do it.It's a really big step to only have one! Plenty of people have a beer after a hard day at work. Please make sure you get home safely!If you can, have some fruit or juice to help rehydrate yourself, and prepare some water for tomorrow morning just in case you wake up with a headache. Baby steps are still steps in the right direction :blob_cat_snuggle:

@CaptainVhdVhd Yea I understand. My therapist suggested that I try to just not drink but I can't stop. I'm already at home and it's 11:31 pm. I may have one more but that's it. I have to work tomorrow morning 😫
