If someone asks you to administrate a #wordpress web-site: Don't take this job. Cry out loud and run away as fas as you can!I did just spend 1 1/2 hours to replace the logo. 1 !72 hours - 90 minutes. For a simple logo in the theme. And I ended up hacking the database to solve the issue.#runawayfast

@kirschwipfelusually child themes are the way to change/add functionality to your theme. I wouldn't agree, that WordPress is so bad after all. Of course there are better tools for power users but WP is a quite goos choice for beginners.

@kirschwipfel It also depends on what theme they are using, most of the time a logo can be changed by going to Appearance -> Customize, then you should be able to click on the logo to get to the option to change it.As someone who does that for a living, sometimes a change can be easy and simple and sometimes it will take 4x the time you originally thought.

@gWell, this customizer allowed to change the logo - but it only affected the customizing pane, not even the preview was changed.#runawayfast from #Wordpress

@kirschwipfel Frankly, I do not have any of such bad experience while using WordPress.I always find it easy to change the logo through the Customizer or through page builder, like Elementor. But yes, I always use a very simple and basic theme, such as Astra theme.
