Setting up espanso on all my computers. It will be replacing AutoHotKey on my main computer too, mostly because AHK is not cross-platform and this removes some overhead

On a semi-related note! I had no idea that Microsoft added symlinks to Windows! This will be very useful in syncing my espanso config by way of NextCloud :D

@kai Found this but I don't think there's anything specific to Microsoft that's come out yet: https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs

@brandon Espanso seems good, but it is bound to x11.I wanted to try https://github.com/snyball/Hawck as hotkey daemon on Linux but I haven't had the time yet.

@danyspin97 Thankfully I remain on X11 for the moment but if you want wayland support definitely give this one a thumbs up: https://github.com/federico-terzi/espanso/issues/287

@brandon Out of curiosity, can I ask you which DE/WM are you using?

@danyspin97 I've been using GNOME but been trying out some others recently. I keep coming back to GNOME out of habit

@brandon I am using XFCE because nouveau drivers died on me. I was using sway before and I can't wait to go back to a WM.GNOME seems a good choice btw!

@danyspin97 I always *wanted* to use a tiling WM but since I have no choice but to switch between Windows and Ubuntu, and I'm just not as adept with sway/i3, it just never stuck with me

@brandon Yea, switching back and forth is not painless. If I recall correctly, there are some GNOME plugins that enable a sort of wm-tiling; maybe you can use those to have something closer to a wm without renouncing a full DE. With XFCE you can even use i3 as window manager.
