@fuxoft Those are some very chunky keys. Looks like a gaming keyboard.

@thor I am using it for programming. By "light key travel" you meant "the keys move only a little bit when pressed"? I thought you meant "No great force needed to press".

@fuxoft I meant low force and hadn't thought about the fact that I also don't like tall keys.I'm looking for something more along these lines (see image). The keys don't have to be *that* low, but I don't mind it either.

@fuxoft I also don't really need RGB. I bought a Logitech K740 earlier. It looked and felt nice, but the keys turned out to be of poor quality and would easily dislodge, so that was a disappointment.

@fuxoft Do you think the G43 would be great for typing? I too am having a hard time finding a good Wired keyboard. Always had the best logitechs but I'm done with the signals. I know there is a "Das Keyboard" and a few others but I don't want to spend money on something that I'm not sure will be guarenteed. Logitech has always Usually been a solid option.

@thor I have a Bloody B740A. It's pretty wizbang. And about $100 USD cheaper now than when I got mine 4 years ago. https://smile.amazon.com/Strike-Optical-Gaming-Keyboard-Smooth/dp/B014EEWEA6/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=bloody+keyboard+b740a&qid=1581858741&sr=8-3

@fuxoft @commandlinekid I have several mechanical keyboards and while I typically like them, I hate my DASKeyboard. Even my Thermaltake Poseidon Z is better than that, even if it's outdated and won't work with Mac because of design shortcomings. Fine on Linux though. My Ducky One, some random Japanese-made one a co-worker gave me, and the metal-framed Ducky my wife just got are fine though.

@commandlinekid @fuxoft happy to help. The JApanese one is a Filco, and it's pretty nice, but the red switches are a little different from my usual Cherry clears. My wife swears by blue, but I find them too loud for a work machine, and the red is quieter than the clear. Especially with o-rings installed. But beware, if you go into mechanical switches, you'll probably never escape.

@leyonhjelm @fuxoft Thanks. I loved mechanical in the old days indeed. I'll try it again gladly.
