@theblessing When I was a kid, I one time rescued a pigeon. I couldn't fly for some reason so I took it a friend's house and kept it in the yard.Unfortunately the friend's inside dog got outside and the circle of life commenced very brutally all over the yard.

@endlessmike maybe.. it seemed like its tail was bigger but maybe it was just scared. it was really small, though.

@superfren @theblessing I used to live in this housing complex that had 15 little 1-bedroom houses on the same lot, very close together. The houses had stucco pillars in the front, holding up a little porch. One day my cat brought a little sparrow in through the cat door, so I wrestled her to the ground and took the sparrow away. The sparrow was still in good condition, no broken wings, not even bleeding, just a little dazed. I took the sparrow out on the front porch and threw it into the air, and it flew across the courtyard and landed on the neighbor's roof. I was so happy I'd done a good deed and saved a life, until my cat streaked out the open door, climbed the stucco pillar like Spiderman, grabbed the bird again, and tore it to pieces on the neighbor's roof, right in front of my eyes. Cats are dicks, man. Cats are dicks.

@theblessing I always forget wood thrushes exist because we don't have them here. We have the brown thrasher which is colored like a wood thrush, but is much larger and acts like a big retarded mockingbird.
