@ThomasWic And if you build up a tolerance ( happens naturally) and lose more of body's natural ability to stop pain on it's own , it's easy to do. I moved back to KY in '05. Had never heard of Loritab/vicodin or percocet (oxi). I couldn't believe what I saw...almost everyone I ever knew was using pain meds. Many of them are dead, in jail, or barely living .

@ThomasWic I cut pain meds and muscle relaxants into pieces because I want relief, not to get looped. As for my friend, Imitrex is not addictive and it's not an opioid, it's an anti-convulsant that helps her as a prophylactic but the insurance co. denies her RX every month. @EarlThePearls My husband feels very strongly about this issue (he doesn't take any pain meds). He says that the reason there are so many deaths from overdoses is because when people who are addicted to them (the reason for the addiction doesn't matter) are cut off or their supplies reduced by government edict, that doesn't stop the addiction or the pain, but drives them to get their drugs somewhere else, often getting things like fentanyl or heroin.

After about a week I noticed a real difference. There had been mornings when I was in so much pain that I couldn't even roll over to get out of bed. Of course, the VA's solution was opioid-based pain killers. I'm not pain free but I don't take their painkillers anymore. I also don't piss hot on a drug test.

@RobertRickly However, if you do take a drug test and it is positive, further testing can determine whether it is THC from Hemp or from Marijuana. Hemp CBD is completely legal in all 50 states, so you should be ok. @EarlThePearls @kbrendell @ThomasWic @Baline @Jackie
