After selling his Nest cam, a member of the Facebook Wink Users Group realized he was still able to access the camera's feed in the new owner's home through his Wink account — even after he reset the device and the new owner connected the camera to their Nest account. #securityhttps://thewirecutter.com/blog/used-nest-cams-can-let-people-spy-on-you/

@bane I have 3 google homes and 3 Alexa cubes. all my bulbs are smart... When they release an open source smart speaker i'll grab it. I've disabled all tracking on my google accounts which makes the google homes act like shit. The Alexia's are typically muted although for tv control it rocks. I suppose I should get rid of all of them.

@bazurk That yikes from me, I'd use everything as simple as possible. If I needed something like that I'd build it myself with open source tools and raspberry pi's.

@bazurk Oh Pi-Hole neat, I also use that one but it's on a mini PC that I bought and changed the software to Linux, better CPU and more ram also it has a disk for all the crap it gathers.
