I just made the mistake of unburdening my sorrow about my trans child to someone who turns out to be a big trans advocate. And now I am feeling sick with mortification because she got angry and flinched every time I used the “wrong” pronouns describing my child. God this sucks.

@Chotiari Well, that's on the other person, not you.The goal is to MAKE YOU mortified and reluctant to talk.My unsolicited advice is to develop an "OFF" switch. I have one now.When people do and say certain things, I switch them off, forever.And I don't look back.

@Chotiari People like that piss me off..they suck the oxygen out of the room.If she got angry and flinched each time you used a "wrong" word/term, shes the one with the problem. Shes more worried about being pc than she is about you or your child. Dont you dare feel sick or mortified about anything-you did absolutely nothing wrong.Shes the one with issues.You are a loving mom,and I have a lot of admiration for you

@Chotiari I am so sorry. It sure does suck. My Brother, Daniel decided at age 52 to put on a dress and become Danielle. The last time we had words HE said, "ISIS beheading Christians- because the deserve it." I refuse to indulge or celebrate his sin and sickness. I haven't talked to or seen him in 4 yrs.
