For all the lunatics and bigots like Prager who spoke too soon:Notre Dame."...police investigators said they think an electrical short-circuit most likely caused the fire. The Parisien newspaper has reported that investigators are considering whether the fire could be linked to a computer glitch or related to temporary elevators used in the renovation that was underway at the time the cathedral caught fire."Knee jerk morons all.https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Entertainment/wireStory/notre-dame-rector-computer-glitch-fire-culprit-62506375?

@Debradelai At one time I might have been one if them, but you all helped me see the light. (Especially my favorite @ThomasWic thomaswic). I love this platform and proudly contribute. 👍

@Debradelai It's still too soon to conclude either way. As an electrical contractor whose project once experienced a major fire, we were also once the target of a presumption that the fire was due to an electrical fault, only to be vindicated by the eventual discovery that it was, after all, arson. The article describes what is at this time the investigators' working theory, not their conclusion.

@haithabu @Debradelai very true, it amazes me how quick people either jump to arson or electrical failure. It’s still too soon, remember that Paris’ second largest church, Saint-Sulpice, caught on fire by arson on March 17. Also on september 9th 2016, story broke that jihadists had a plan to blow up Notre Dame using gas canisters inside a car. Even the most recent chief architect Benjamin Mouton said publicly that he does not think it was simply an electrical fire... we must keep our minds open.

@Abe @haithabu Your febrile imagination notwithstanding, investigators at the site have identified the shortcircuit that iniciated this fire. You can give your conspiracy theories a rest now.

@Abe and @haithabu did not advocate any conspiracy theories. They both said the same thing, that it is too soon.

@Abe @haithabu @Debradelai Historically, when Muslim terror groups commit attacks, they always take public responsibility very soon after (within a day or two). You haven't seen that happen, here. For example, (what remains of) ISIS claimed they were "celebrating" the fire, but didn't take responsibility.I've never suspected Muslim terror, figuring it was more likely than not an accident.
