Hi nelgin,

Thanks for responding to my post.

nelgin, I'm trying to confirm you are using the setup based on this document:
URL:http://wiki.synchro.net/howto:separate-unix-logs ?

It is possible I did something wrong. I've done that lots of times. Specially
when I'm learning about a system.

 ne> bbs@bbs:~/sbbs-git/src/sbbs3$ ls -l /var/log/sbbs/*sbbs.log
 ne> -rw-r--r-- 1 bbs bbs 28946525 Sep 9 02:27 /var/log/sbbs/event.sbbs.log
 ne> -rw-r--r-- 1 bbs bbs 715381 Sep 9 02:13 /var/log/sbbs/ftp.sbbs.log
 ne> -rw-r--r-- 1 bbs bbs 1517078 Sep 9 02:30 /var/log/sbbs/mail.sbbs.log
 ne> -rw-r--r-- 1 bbs bbs 122343 Sep 9 02:22 /var/log/sbbs/sbbs.log
 ne> -rw-r--r-- 1 bbs bbs 39387401 Sep 9 02:30
 ne> /var/log/sbbs/service.sbbs.log -rw-r--r-- 1 bbs bbs 36801862 Sep 9 02:30
 ne> /var/log/sbbs/term.sbbs.log -rw-r--r-- 1 bbs bbs 186616198 Sep 9 02:30
 ne> /var/log/sbbs/web.sbbs.log

Can you share your sbbs.ini UNIX log section?

What OS are you using?

Is your ownership on /var/log/sbbs bbs:bbs?

I didn't know if I should have mine be set as syslog:sbbs with a mode of 775.
On ubuntu 24 I'm using rsyslog.
