Well back in the days everything was either calendar or database related, or 
both.
But if it does what it says on the tin (as i've erd it called) then, why not?
I do see some problems with mathing and area handling though especially if it 
was
set to Richard, Hardener. or Random gibberish here locations, but would be nice 
to
see if there were events such as lan parties of a decent size for doom or 
quake2.
Or Demoscene, and demo parties especially, I don't even think any happen in 
ohio
for Demos, but it'd be nice to know if they did/were. Though we do have the old
ass hardware thing that goes on once a year a state away a bit.. Be nice to be
reminded of that too.. But yes, suppose it could be added as a door drop.
