Hi Barry,

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I've had really good luck with Manjaro.
As for running Windows games, have you 
tried Proton with Steam? I've had good luck with that too, although I've only
tried it for a few games. I don't play as 
much as I used to. But it worked with AOE, Dealer's Choice, and StarCraft II.
