Agreed.  The whole purpose (for those who don't know) of using ITU phonetics is 
to make it clear (hopefully) what letters make up your callsign.  This is 
especially important when working non-English contacts.  Using cutesy words 
risks muddying the waters.

Nothing wring with being proud of your club, as long as you don't get agressive 
about it.

 > 4) Stations saying "you're not a ham if you don't do CW".

Also agreed.  I do think the hobby has lost some of itself by elimiting the CW 
testing.  Besides being a useful skill, I think it acts as a stop gap for those 
just wanting to get a mic in their hands (I'm looking at you, CBers.)  Learning 
CW takes time and patience and shows a true desire to become a ham.

IMO, it's not.  Hame radio is about making contact, radio to radio.
