It's very curious... And the release date (1978) is very similar to the CBBS 
release... It's like the BBS virus spread out spontaneously around the globe.

Awesome... I confess that I also thought that all BBSing from the primigenious 
times was limited to IBM PC compatibles, and I only recently realized my 
mistake.
