Subj : Real Modem on VOIP? To : Alexander Grotewohl From : Sean Dennis Date : Tue Sep 08 2026 08:47 pm Hello Alexander, 08 Sep 26 19:16, you wrote to me: AG> lists places where they're ripping it out, or have already. However, there's specialty equipment like DataRemote's POTS In A Box or Ooma's AirDial that work via 4G LTE/5G and because they're engineered to support legacy DTMF tones and fax/modem transmissions for critical life-safety systems, they handle modem handshakes much better than standard consumer VoIP. So we're not completely screwed...yet. -- Sean .... That must be wonderful! I don't understand it at all. --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-b20240309 * Origin: Outpost BBS * Johnson City, TN (1:18/200) .
