Another year has pass, nothing really outstanding from 2024 other than
vet appointments and traffic jams.

That little automation project I was aiming to finish?  Turns out the
more devices I added, the more I started to appreciate Home Assistant,
so I opted for leaving the DAL on hold until I needed it in the very
far future and instead focused on HASS[fn:01] integrations using it's
API.  This payed very well in the end as I did not imagine the
extensive feature set that HASS offers.

As a result I've started to gradually move my services into a
dedicated Proxmox installation at home to leverage automations and
integrations.

I pushed a half-baked prototype to sr.ht[fn:01] but I expect to come
back in the future with a different set of features.
