Via "virtualization", you always get the same kind of architecture in your VMs as your host system has. So on x86/amd64, you can install those VMs - and on ARM, you can install ARM VMs, eg. on a RasPi. If you would like to use "alien" architectures, you have to use an emulator instead of virtualization. There are such available for RasPi systems, I think qemu should do it.
