Let me Bu> know how you make out with it.. AL Sounds like a decent project! My pi-nas has been running quite well for me for about a month solid now, maybe longer. I had to do a little jank/hackery to get the disks to stay up otherwise they'd power down every now and then which isn't good for network storage when you need them up all the time lol. Was quite simple to fix though, just a cron job to periodically read the disks so that they wouldn't go into sleep mode (every 5 mins)... still haven't figured out yet if there's a "proper" way but then haven't really had the time to look in depth. Here's my janky script; #!/usr/bin/env bash LOG=/var/log/read_disks.log for DISK in /dev/disk/by-id/usb-External_USB3.0_DISK0*; do dd if=$DISK of=/dev/null count=1 skip=$RANDOM >/dev/null 2>&1 \ && echo "$(date) [ OK] $DISK" >> $LOG \ || echo "$(date) [ERR] $DISK" >> $LOG done Don't judge, it works =) --- |14Best regards, |11Ch|03rist|11ia|15n |11a|03ka |11Me|03aTLoT|11io|15N |07ÄÄ |08[|10eml|08] |15ml@erb.pw |07ÄÄ |08[|10web|08] |15www.erb.pw |07ÄÄÄ¿ |07ÄÄ |08[|09fsx|08] |1521:1/158 |07ÄÄ |08[|11tqw|08] |151337:1/101 |07ÂÄÄÙ |07ÄÄ |08[|12rtn|08] |1580:774/81 |07ÄÂ |08[|14fdn|08] |152:250/5 |07ÄÄÄÙ |07ÄÄ |08[|10ark|08] |1510:104/2 |07ÄÙ --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/13 (Linux/64) * Origin: thE qUAntUm wOrmhOlE, rAmsgAtE, uK. bbs.erb.pw (1337:1/101) .
