Subj : A camera project To : All From : Blue White Date : Sat Nov 06 2021 10:50:33 Good morning! We have had some recent issues with some badniks in the neighborhood. Mostly childish stuff like shooting at windows with BB guns, busting bottles, etc. However, we have also had some folks rummaging through parked cars and a few other not so childish things. I have had issues mostly with the childish activity. While I expect that to dwindle as the weather gets cold, I have set up one of my action cameras in the window of the side of the house facing the street. I would like to use that camera for other things, so I have been looking at raspberry pi projects for security cameras. I have found some articles that say good things about motionEye OS. I have obtained a couple of pis... a 3B and a Zero W... and a Longruner camera. The 3B is a mid-range Canakit that came complete with a case and a NOOBS loaded SD card, as well as a power supply and a couple of other goodies. The Zero W is a bare-bones Vilros kit that came with a case and power supply, and a couple of necessary adaptors but no preformatted SD card or extras. I have never worked with a Zero before, or any OS other than Raspbian. I expect much frustration as it seems that the instructions on websites and videos never seem to cover the issues I run into with my tech projects. :) I will keep you all up to date on my progress. I am starting out with Raspberry Valley as my online info resource. --- MultiMail * Origin: Possum Lodge South * possumso.fsxnet.nz:7636/SSH:2122 (1337:3/103.4) .
