I already use Ubuntu on my main PC, but I want to keep a MacBook Pro to be able 





























































































































































































































































































to access any applications and such on the OS. I just want to speed up and 
optimise this laptop as much as I can so I can still enjoy it.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into expanding the RAM and adding an SSD?

.... I wish life had a scroll-back buffer.
