you can add programs to your starter bar from the main menu, but not from
desktop icons. cinnamon seems not to work drag on drop and when i right
click in the main menu on a program i can add it to the bar, but only to
the bottom main bar. not to side bars. and drag and drop does sadly not
work.
i was able to manually add programs to a starter in the sidebar, but it
is not realy easy. also i had to restart cinnamon everyime i have added
an icon, as the icons have been stretched strangely.
