Vanilla vim is what I primarily use as well, but the reasons are mainly because 




































when I use vim on a shared computer (pretty frequently with SRE shaped work) 
any sort of personalization/customization is frowned upon. So I got used to the 




































defaults and they work well enough for me. :P
